By a weird quirk of fate here is the second artist from Lyon to appear on mp3hugger in as many days. Is there some sort of Bergen renaissance going on there or something? Like My Raining Stars, François Virot is entirely cherishable, coming from that townland in the land of twee that doesn’t grate but merely inhabits the memory making parts of your consciousness. His album of last year ‘Yes or No’ passed me by but rectifying actions are being taken. Here is a precious cut called ‘Not The One’, all cascading acoustics and Virot’s pleasant whine which assists in making the holding of someone else’s hand a decidedly deeper experience. KD
