Malajube – Synesthésie
Montreal’s Malajube have always been wonderful they just needed one song to set the record straight and make them the stars they deserve to be. And right on cue up popped ‘Synesthésie’, a free download from their 4th LP ‘La Caverne’ (which came out only this week), a really short but ridiculously catchy stomper that would sound good in any language but utterly orgasmic when sung in French. And it’s not a one off, both the chosen language and the beautiful melodies are Malajube’s stock in trade and make them one of the most cherishable group’s around. Classic pop so warm it could even make cities at -40C appear somewhat balmy. KD
