At this time of year it takes something special to knock me off my Christmas groove but New Hampshire’s Mmoss (oddly there is a band called Mmoths floating around too) have done it with their farfisa laden gem ‘Another Dream’. It is taken from their recently released second LP ‘Only Children’ which promises legal fixes for psychedelia heads the world over. When this kicked off for the first time I immediately fell to my knees, tightly bound hands together and prayed as hard as I could that the vocals would be as transcendent as the organ parts. As it turned out I needn’t have worried as the rolling harmonies proved the perfect foil to the swirling retro giddiness. KD
