This tearily reminds me of Dolores O’Riordan’s cherishable mix of innocence and strength in the face of adversity. And really it is all about the voice and the way those intonations offer variety in what is essentially an acoustic drama. Low-ebbed that is until ‘Giants’ bursts its banks thanks to the floods of tears from everyone within earshot. A stunning second song from an Australian artist who has turned simplicity into an artform. KH
