A piano appears like a gently flowing stream and a distinctly Bjorkesque vocal floats atop with such grace and most of all a powerful presence. There is a idiosyncratic approach from this Norwegian artist but when Ane’s voice soars you feel the need to punch the sky in celebration. So much potential and a song in ‘Confess’ that allows the artist to probe and exact the maximum use of it. KH
