What a fine name for a band and them making the kind of confessional drama that you’d hope and expect. The heart tugging is mostly divined from Wade Ouellet vocals, which have such an emotional heft it may well sweep you off your feet. And it comes from a genuine place as ‘Superficial Feeling’ was the first song Quellet wrote after he regained his voice after it had mysteriously failed him for several months. By now you’ve probably guessed we’re enamoured, there may have even been some wiping of tears away. This is just Written Years second release, what a prospect this Vancouver act are shaping up to be.
