Despite being ejected from 2 labels since their birth in Jönköping seven years ago the Mary Onettes always knew that persistence would be the key to their survival. Their faith was rewarded when the coolest label on the planet (perhaps) Labrador signed them up. And now as Labrador celebrates 100 releases the Mary Onettes get the No. 87 slot in a quite immaculate collection of songs. The band swears by its influences, there are strong hints of Echo & The Bunnymen and Joy Division while the chorus on ‘Lost’ is indicative of many of the other 3-minute classics floating about the good ship Labrador (the Legends). ‘Lost’ is fabulously retro, decidedly cool and a vital accessory for any mp3 player large or small.
