This is pretty faultless and given the homemade setting surely announces Little Boots as a serious talent and star in the making. Wiley’s original is a big dirty piece of classic dance and should be making most end of year ‘best of’ lists but what’s the betting on this reworking doing the same in 2009? To get some context check out the youtube vid where this rip comes from and marvel at the ingenuity/simplicity with which ‘Wearing My Rolex’ is realised. Just goes to prove that genuine talent will shine through no matter how lo-fi the working conditions.
