I listened to this for the first time and instantly said to myself, this is nice but where have I heard it before. It being a sunny day I decided to go for a walk and ponder the question of the hour. It was only after I’d creamed a second 99 that the penny dropped. The appeal is undeniable and even though Casiotone For The Painfully Alone may be purposely tugging at some cherished childhood memories I forgive them. Then again those who suffer from chilling flashbacks due to ‘Insert Horror Movie With Particularly Gory Ice-cream Van Scene Here’ may not. Funnily enough the song is actually taken from a movie called ‘Stay The Same Never Change‘ which CFTPA have soundtracked via their ‘Town Topic’ EP (15 tracks, hmmm). It’s all enough to make your heart melt. KD
