Gotta pity Autumn, I mean it’s not even mid October and already some of us are beginning to think of evenings by the fire admiring that brightly lit Christmas tree in the corner. Yep, it seems that Winter has a stronger hold on our senses despite the often colourful nature of it’s nearest competitor. Well, perhaps our old friends the Very Most can finally put Autumn on the pedestal it deserves via their new EP of the same name. ‘Autumn‘ is TVM’s 3rd release on indiecater in 2009 and the good times just keep rolling. ‘Autumn Air’ is a effervescent indication of the fare on offer with its lush streams of cascading harmonies and intricate vocal interplay. You should know by now that every new Very Most song is something to cherish; they remain the contented person’s most essential indie pop combo. KD
