Pop noir eh? Didn’t quite exist until I heard this classy production from Dusty Brown, a Sacramento musician/producer with a bevy of complimentary musicians at his side. The highlight on this occasion is provided by his sister Jessica’s sultry vocals, which round off what is already an exotic piece. I’m sure ‘Back To Back’ could swirl endlessly in the background of every café from here to Timbuktu and find an appreciative audience seeing as it is the equivalent of an glossy mag with exemplary staying power.
