Slushco – Dead On The Inside

The regularity with which Brian Slushco’s songs make the cut after 6 rounds with the Mike Tyson that is our tastebuds illustrates how highly we regard him. There has been a lull in new stuff of late so we’ve had to fall back on something from the odds and ends collection (which is curiously his best release to date) called ‘The Silver Surface’. We’ve picked extensively from this EP already but there is still a stock of choice tracks remaining, like the buzzsaw chord ensemble that forms the spine on ‘Dead On The Inside’. Beautifully tailored as usual it shows how resilient Slushco’s pretty melodies are in a tornado alley of white noise. KD
