Out goes the calm exterior, the revulsion held for posting something that is hot off the presses, the shame that accompanies being part of the herd that momentarily rejoices at the biggest promo mp3 of the day. Well, to counter all that I have to say that inside I am a maniacal nutjob, just as likely as any blogger to jump on a merited bandwagon and more comfortable in crowded spaces than ones that produce rolling bushels, and anyway this is probably the biggest free song of the month. And neither do we care that they seem to have aged quite a bit because it’s Clap Your Hands Say Yeah for god’s sake, it doesn’t get much better than this. And while their sophomore maybe not have tingled as brightly as their first born our love remained in full bloom. ‘Same Mistake’ is the start of ‘Hysterical’, in that it is the beginning of a deep affection for a piece of work that will finally reveal itself in September. Call us suckers for trying to be first out of the tracks but we’ll probably just flash you a mouthful of broken down yellow country teeth in return. KD
