If you know anything about this blog you’ll have gathered that a song like this could never have slipped through our hands. That’s because we’re 90’s nostalgists to the core and ‘Single Beds’ ticks pretty much every one of the boxes to reconvene a sound from an early part of that decade. The group, Night Flowers, from East London originally started out as just Chris Hardy and Greg Ullyart but have since been bolstered by 3 others. ‘Single Beds’ sounds like Lush on vocals, House of Love on guitars and the Pale Saints on arrangements, a potent mix that should appeal to middle age farts and members of the cool set in equal measure.
