Temples – Keep In The Dark

For someone who doesn’t like Marc Bolan or the T. REX sound it is quite odd how they popped into my head as soon as I heard Temples ‘Keep In The Dark’. The similarities do tend evaporate as the song opens out taking on the hue of something altogether more psychedelic in nature. Not surprising then that Temples find themselves on the same label as the similarly focused Toy. Heavenly Recordings being the label in question, an institution that has been around since baggy was the clobber/music of choice. Temples are only 3 singles in but their debut album ‘Sun Structures’ is set for release early in 2014. It’ll be interesting to see what spaceball ricochets they come up. KD
