‘Please Hold On’s slow chiming chords are more than matched by singer Max Bien Kahn who appears to have gotten to the pitch of what it means to progress your talent with candour but also a particularly horizontal demeanour. Into the bargain this track would appear to be something to fit our endless regard for the Velvet Underground and a whole host of slacker rock troupes who might struggle in the AM but once midday arrives can’t but add to that sunshine feeling. A woozy effort for the covid times we live in because New Orleans (not another galaxy) based Max blocks out the all the incessant noise to a summary that just invokes the chill. KH
