I do like me a bit of Brooklyn’s Lamplight (Ian Hatcher-Williams), an indie act who have a way that is uniquely their own. And you can hear for yourself on ‘Year 2083’, which is a work that feels like vertigo but with its musical instincts intact. In fact there is a wild beauty to the way the melodies unfold before our very eyes. It had me thinking a drink or two could be in order to extenuate the magic and though it is over in just 90 seconds it felt like a complete and most satisfying of experiences. KH
