We’d expect evocative as the default mood on a Quiet North record and it was evident immediately on ‘Stille’. So while it might be quiet and reflective there is a grandeur to the heart that permeates through every inch of its being. All makes for the kind of construct that helps us listeners reset but it produces tears that have been held in check for the longest time. ‘Stille’ makes any such restriction futile as the spillage happens organically. Hold someone close and suddenly everything is going to be alright. KH
