Candy Moore – Ordinary

Must say this is the cutest thing, ‘Ordinary’ may be playing up to that title but there is such an assembly of jangling guitars, cooing and vocal harmonies to have us feeling as if we’ve arrived in mid summer and the feelings all point to the best kind of giddy times ahead. Sure there might be a little melancholy in there but that’s what you get when confidence is bottoming out, the truth of course is even in these fragile moments Calum Newton/Candy Moore is still capable of producing an indie pop delight.
