Real Ones – Desilusionado

There is romance to be had that is for sure, a tropical kind of approach from Bergen’s Real Ones that we’ll have for holidays in a few weeks time. ‘Desilusionado’ sure does tap into the hushed and pastoral qualities of a polemic that never comes across as such. Instead most are likely to get on with their lazy day, just soaking up the sun on the eternal hunt for a free deckchair or hammock in which to complete the effect of total laidback bliss. Vocally I was reminded of Midlake (with a sprinkling of Paul McCartney) so this folk rhapsody has a bit of everything brilliant going on. Just the faultless summer stroll. KH
