General Absurdity & the Open Source – Limestone Ghost

I did like that gentle opening, folk that reminded of Nick Drake and nothing seemed like it had a rush on. No surprise to find ‘Limestone Ghost’ had a world weary bard at the controls because it was in keeping with the stroll in the tempo. The real surprise came after a minute of swaying however as General Absurdity found a change of pace and a togetherness that gives the song an old-timey round-the-campfire joy. I enjoyed ‘Limestone Ghost’ a lot more than I expected i would, there’s comfort and that little surprise to sustain us over many listens. KH
