I like the free-spiritedness of ‘Friends’ and I think that may be down to the way Lucky do abandonment like Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! used to do. So this track is liable to break off into a streak of madness at any point, those primal words more than a match for the lively instrumental discourse. The very definition of a tune where hair needs to be let down and shoes need to be kicked off because we are going to let loose for a change. Adults become kids in an instant and it is all down to the influence of ‘Friends’. KH
