The Quiet North – Southbound

The jangle is true and ‘Southbound’ felt like a most tender happening as a result. The Quiet North come from deepest Norway and bolster the instrumental harmony with a voice, Fredrik Kristiansen, which sounds like it has a store of hope that we can all draw from. Anthemic stuff boasting a soft side that nonetheless has the capacity to whip itself up into the sort of indie opus that has us feeling a good deal better about ourselves. As gorgeous as the Nordic landscape. KH
