‘Stylite’ sure does bring the noise, I could hear the 90’s influences from the start and in particular Swervedriver (and You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, Cymbals Eat Guitars and Mew) and their classic ‘Raise’ album. Perhaps Dylan James brings something a bit lighter to the fray, especially in the final seconds of that first minute that delivered a subtlety that I wasn’t expecting. All highlights an act from Philadelphia with ideas to burn and all delivered with a vitality resuscitates that vibrant 90’s sound back to life. KH
