El Cortina – Living E-Z

A likeable sort of happy-clappy effort and one that has the scent of summer in its nostrils. Can’t help but lift the mood such is the weight of optimism that it carries and when ‘Livinz E-Z’ hits peak fluidity at the chorus we get a proper handle on the talent of this act. Must say I was taken by surprise, El Cortina are not just your regular daytime radio rockers – they pack depth and a very fine tune indeed that would do peak Dodgy (go check them out!) justice. And of course we can forgive me them all those Lou Reed do-do-do’s at the start. KH
