Midwest Royal – The Tower

There is a wildness for sure, perhaps not so evident at first but ‘The Tower’ builds into something that can call upon claws that would have most standing to attention. Midwest Royal are great sports though, good fun in other words as this track continually trips us up so that we’re near confounded before it reveals the neatest of little tunes at its heart. Jonathan Rodebaugh and friends don’t give up on their lavish gifts easily but persistence reveals the hidden gold buried in the basement. Whatever this is I simply love it. KH
