Strange Lot – Rain and Fog

Must say I was getting a distinct feeling of Spiritualized from ‘Rain and Fog’, the spacey ambience in particular. Strange Lot (Dominic Mena and friends) proved themselves to have plenty feedback drenching capabilities too so a little Spectrum and Spacemen 3 shone through. It was as if we were back in indie’s golden era, boring a hole into the heart of of listener so songs such as Rain and Fog were going to be embraced forevermore. This is immersive stuff, manna from headphone heaven and one to return to when escapism is our primary goal. KH
