I really do hope that Prague’s &Tilly makes this an annual tradition, namely releasing fresh new cherubs every December. Christmas music needs a lick of paint to have us returning to it with the same fervour as we had as kids. And this year’s effort ‘I Saw Three Ships’ bears gifts aplenty, not least turning an old standard on its heads and giving us a brand new festive lullaby in the process. The accompanying promo lifts the spirits to a degree that &Tilly does the near impossible and restores some of the magic of the season that has been lost along the way. KH
