T. G. Shand – Levitating The Knife

I felt quite a bit of emotional rumbling in that opening half minute and I put it down to a couple of things. One being the return to old school shoegaze montages, but crucially a tumble down vocal effect from Annemarie Duff that relies on melody as much as weaving itself into the fabric of what is a big realisation of the patented Cocteau Twins template of yore. There will be feedback but most of all there will tears. KH
