The Mad Mile – Smiths

There is a clarity to what duo Mad Mile are about here, a proto jazz feeling because there is a swing to ‘Smiths’ that means we are in the auspices of an indie groove. Reminded me of the Madchester set but most of all what came in their wake and in particular the Bluetones. And it feels good, the Mad Mile (Adam Pickering and Matthew Goodbody) come across like a swaggering set of lads and ‘Smiths’ feels like a natural extension of themselves as a result. KH
