What a haunted kind of sound this is, rock as you like but with an ethereal singer at the head of it all who sounds like she has gone through her fair share of teary filled occasions. There is an indefatigable spirit there though, one that never sounds like it is going to get lost in the fog of regret and pain. In fact ‘Lovelorn’ is such a strong character there is even room for a life affirming chorus with all the indie pop trimmings.
