The sort of tune that weaves its way into our lives almost by stealth but that opening half minute was not at all a sign of things to come because Soft No have a blast of indie rock of the furious kind in mind for us. And it feels a little bit unhinged into the bargain, led by a singer with a wild set of frequencies to call upon. The playing is equally dashing in its individuality and with that ‘Oxford Street’ becomes of one of things that would have made for a mixtape staple back in the day. Philadelphia’s Soft No are our kind of troupe! KH
