Higher Selves Playdate – Good Dreams

That is one busy track, like a bee at the height of summer in fact and giving off happy indie vibes from the off right until the final note. There is a twee aspect but the melodic twists and turns are clear amid the swirling chord laced behaviour. You can tell that Higher Selves Playdate (Jessica Kallista and Steve Fitzpatrick) have little interest in playing things straight, they are too charming for all that and though there was a risk of kookiness beyond what most could handle I felt the good vibes outweighed all other reactions. Fun stuff all the way. KH
