Alex Nicol has filled ‘Marylebone’ from top to toe with sunshine effects. The singalong is pretty much guaranteed but even for those who’d rather just sway this is heart swelling innocence on record. Yep, there is a lullaby effect here even if this Montreal bard has rooted it in the reality of real life adulthood. One to return to endlessly as the need arises and an air of Nick Drake to go with it. KH
