There is an old timey feel to ‘Colors’, like the production has been given the sort of allure that is only possible when the budget is large – to match the imagination as Pierce Alexander does show us a route back to pop music that would have graced the radio back in the day. There is a grandiose feel to proceedings, a chorus that adds the necessary cherry on top to all the brightly assembled retro elements. KH
