Jill Blutt – Swansea

Low ebbed but beat heavy is a novel way to approach things. A contrast that feels novel and involving to a degree that it demanded that I sit down to face getting swept off our feet. ‘Swansea’ has the sort of mood that is normally reserved for Christmas and that means there is depth beyond the dreamy vocal effects and that rapid fire percussive backdrop. Does things to me that are rare so this Jill Blutt track is one to treasure. Like This Mortal Coil, but set to hyperspeed. KH
