Starts out as folk as can be, all we were missing was the wood cracking in the fireplace and a note that said that Iron & Wine was in on production duties. There was comfort to be drawn from that feeling that is because the warmth of the piece is not in doubt and at the coldest time of year we need to travel indoors and cozy up to quiet classics like ‘Where’s The Heart?’. The build is subtle and the constant light is a singer who never shifts his gaze. Reminds me a lot of Gareth Inkster and that means this song moves into territory that permeates the soul. KH
