Princess June – Picture Storybook

This is cherubic listening from a Rhode Island trio who possess a gift for evoking an intimate folk presence. Their ‘Picture Storybook’s makes like something that the Mamas and the Papas could have produced back in the day such are the sixties harmonies employed. The kicker of course is that Princess June have crafted a pretty yuletide tune to go with it and it sounds like the most charming seasonal bedecked release of 2025 to me. Folk and tinsel combine to create a perennial piece of indie pop wonder. KH
