What an alluring rumble of noise to greet us, like pleasantries from the undergrowth, the overgrowth and all around. This is indie pop with hints of Stereolab but also the very essential ingredients of the band’s that came out on Heavenly Records all the way back in the last century. The playing has depth but also conveys a twee elegance and +tope make it feel like we’re in the front row of their electric live shows. Smitten is too shallow a word to describe my reaction to ‘Fur’.
