Montauk Hotel – Never Quiet

I just couldn’t help hearing the Sundays, Harriet Wheeler and a generous reverse back into the wonder filled sound of the peak dreampop era. ‘Never Quiet’ brings more besides and it comes from a chorus that sweeps us off our feet before it had a chance to pull the rug from under us. In a most masterful way because there is an all-encompassing swell of beautiful arrangement that even points in the direction of Sinead O’Connor at times. First listen and ‘Never Quiet’ already feels like a candidate for song of the year from this Dublin four-piece. KH
