We were bracing ourselves given the tug of those early riffs and our instincts proved to be sound as Nora Baier properly got us feeling that 90’s alt rock feeling. No half measures here, heavy beats, grunge like chords and some lightness of being – although not a huge amount – in the vocals. It had the ring of Veruca Salt for me and given my proclivity for the sound of that era ‘Unchained’ was always going to go down a storm. Time to whip out the samba’s as there’s some pogoing to do. KH
