Strange Fruit – Monopolar

Wasn’t sure where it was initially but thankfully Jakarta’s finest Strange Fruit did strike up with a proper kind of baggy groove. The type that would have easily found a home back in the early 90’s but also today as all those Jagwar Ma fans will attest. Where Monopolar really made hay with our affections was in Baldi Calvianca’w words however, all lose dreamy melody and the perfect cherry on top for all the psychedelic effects happening all around. It’s as if Madchester never left us. KH
