Mary Middlefield – Milk

Mary Middlefield is an artist I would put at the very top of our favourite contemporary artists. And for good reason because she has a vulnerability and strength of character subtlety woven into a tune to remember every time. And ‘Milk’ just adds another string to the wonder of her talent. I mean it could have come from the soundtrack to ‘The Sound of Music’ but such is its ingenious passageways there wasn’t a second here where it felt like things could go sour. In fact things just went soar, so high in fact that Mary Middlefield could be on the cusp of genuine breakthrough here. KH
