Morningwood – Nth Degree
Altogether thrilling and as titillating as any band named Morningwood has any right to be this New York foursome really are the full package. So much so that famed Pixies producer Gil Norton agreed to work on their self-titled sophomore album. ‘Nth Degree’ was one of its more exuberant tracks, a bombastic epic full of charging chords and dexterous bass lines. And like a fine wine Chantel Claret gives her vocals a full body workout as she serenades the boys from their pumped up gasoline machines. The effect is akin to the energy and excitement of a Friday night bottled up into 4 minutes of sheer adrenaline. KD
