You’ll know this one if you spend any time whatsoever in the company of a television. I won’t spoil it by telling you where it is employed suffice as to say it is an entirely perfect jingle that straddles a wobbly line between annoying and catchy. In fact the Orba Squara roadshow has been used to maximum effect on a number of different adverts, which must have come as a nice surprise for Mitch Davis. Davis employs a restrained Boy Least Likely To sense of childlike fantasy in his music, helped in no small part by the use of a toy piano, some glockenspiel and a softly tugged mandolin. ‘Perfect Timing (This Morning)’ is made all the palatable when twinned with Davis’s vocals, which are so hushed they could act as a ready replacement for the nightly bedtime story.
