The Specimen – Wish It Would Snow

You can now buy this song on our 2008 Christmas compilation called ‘An Indiecater Christmas’ here!

Matt Gorny is the Specimen and works out of Brooklyn. His music has appeared in a couple of films and he has a particular knack for winning song competitions. So far nothing really of imaginative consequence you might say but that’s the trouble with a myspace page, it doesn’t really paint a revealing picture. Thank the lord then that they decided to include a primitive media player in the top right hand side of myspace profiles because that’s where the real magic is stored. Look there on the Specimen’s page and you will find the splendiferous package of jollity known as ‘Wish It Would Snow’. It certainly marks a departure from the Specimen’s debut EP ‘Do U Damage’ but I guess that’s what faces all aglow will do to you. ‘Wish It Would Snow’ employs those self same faces and for once it doesn’t sound cloying, instead it captures the magic and innocence that is at the core of the holiday season.
