The Vanilla Swingers are Miles and Ann (nope I don’t know their surnames either), a London duo who can sound like certain great bands like Ultra Vivid Scene (‘I’ll Stay Next To You’) and Talk Talk (‘The Way’) who have been lost in the mists of time. Right now I can’t go anywhere without ‘Goodbye Lennon’, its leaden beats provide such a contrasting backdrop to the lithe piano lines and the sweetly conversational boy/girl vocals I may even start listening to huge 80’s ballads all over again. Just generally awful. I was sent it by email and thought it was so cheesy. And your comparison to the ting tings? nah, not happening.

well, i personally love very much this track. It has such a dreamy sound. Vanilla Swingers really have something special. Not the same thing i could say about the ting tings…
