‘Unbeast The Leash’ is 4 years old and noise merchants Videohippos have been ever so quiet in the interim. Well, that’s what I thought until I ran into a free download on last.fm which informed me that the Baltimore act that put out a split CD with Sewn Leather (how could it be a split then?) last year. This time they’ve dispensed with the vocals (if you could ever call them that, see video below) and it does take from their apocalyptic approach. Thankfully though, despite the passing of words they retain their ability to rustle melody from a seemingly impossible cavalcade of dense rubble. KD
