Known Moons – The Structures
I love this for its sheer distinctiveness. In a world made up of conservatives and liberals ‘The Structures’ is a blast from the monster raving loony party. Josh Bay is the creative at the helm and he furthered his pledge for swimming against the tide by releasing his first batch of songs on cassette. Really love this sort of endeavour, especially so when songs like ‘The Structures’ has a pretty core but is so surrounded by atmospheric upheaval. It skids into hazy distortion on occasion but just as things appear to be falling apart Bay reigns it all back to form neat little sonic patterns. More please. KD
