Laetitia Sadier – Find Me The Pulse Of The Universe
Her latest guise may be much more in line with later Stereolab (whose indefinite hiatus goes from strength to strength) than their super electric earlier selves but there is still much to admire. ‘Find Me The Pulse Of The Universe’, from her second solo LP ‘Silencio!’, has flashes of Tracey Thorn but Sadlier carries with her a more experimental edge. Although it is a proper song there is much to confuse the casual listener. It’s all dots, loops and sequences that oscillate between colourful streams of consciousness and shake-downs that could navigate a path through the coolest of lounges. KD
